Vote Yes on October 16

As St. Albert community members, we love the “small town feel” of our city. We value the sense of community we share. We love our neighbourhoods, the comfort that comes with knowing each other’s names.

The St. Albert Public Library has been at the heart of our community since 1961. It connects people. It changes citizens' lives for the better, from infancy to retirement. At the library, our children gain a love of reading, setting them up for a lifetime of success. People of all ages come together for programs that teach, challenge and entertain. Library staff answer questions. They help us navigate the data overload of modern life. They help people find jobs and pursue their dreams. At St. Albert Public Library, strangers turn into friends.

Your downtown library is  more popular than ever. St Albert, ranked among Canada’s best cities, is growing and expanding - welcoming new families every day. And every day the library welcomes more of them through our doors.

St. Albert citizens' needs are much bigger than the library’s current space can hold. It surpassed its capacity 18 years ago. The need today is clear.

It’s time to vote 'YES' for the library.  It’s time for the St. Albert community to branch out!
